IKEBANA Competition

Flowers are symbolic of beauty, love and tranquillity. They form the soul of a garden and convey the message of nature to man. Flowers are objects of aesthetic, ornamental, social, religious and cultural value. The tenderness of the flower along with its fragrance is what makes it desirable for human beings.

Flower arrangement is the art of using plant materials and flowers to create an eye-catching and balanced composition or display.

A flower arrangement competition IKEBANA was organised in the school on 25 September 2021 on the school campus for classes 6to 12.

Each class was divided into groups(5 children in a group ) and had 6 to 8entries per class. Children brought the required material and arranged the tables well covered with white sheets .Every flower arrangement had a conspicuous caption for which a uniform pattern was provided.

The arrangements were judged by the renowned social work enthusiast Ms Madhu Dang and Ms Jyoti Ahluwalia,Coordinator Primary Wing on the basis of visual appeal,selection of flowers,presentation and creativity of students.The students left everyone awe-struck as they presented their talent so immaculately and effortlessly. The Principal Ms Harjinder Kaur congratulated the students for their astounding performance.
