"A mother’s guidance can shape a warrior, and a warrior's courage can shape an empire." – Jijabai

On December 7, 2024, Meerut Public School for Girls put on a show like never before, leaving an unforgettable impression that will echo for years to come! The Annual Festival, aptly named "The Echoes of the Marathas," was an absolute spectacle – a vibrant and electrifying tribute to the unstoppable spirit of the Maratha Empire. The performance wasn’t just a play, but a breathtaking celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's valor, leadership, and military brilliance, with a powerful focus on the unshakeable strength and wisdom of his mother, Jijabai, whose guidance turned him into a living legend.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Shri Arun Govil (Member of Parliament), Major General B.D. Wadhwa (Vice Chancellor, IILM University), Shri Kapil Dev Agarwal (Vocational Education & Skill Development Department, Uttar Pradesh Government), Shri Vinod Bharti (Rashtriya Seva Sangh, Vibhag Sangh Chalak), Shri Amresh Vashisht (Senior Chartered Accountant), Dr. Kanchan Malik, and Dr. J.S. Malik. The school’s management members, including Co-Founder Mrs. Kusum Shastri, Managing Director Shri Vikramjeet Singh Shastri, Managing Director Mrs. Ketki Singh Shastri, and other esteemed dignitaries.

The celebration began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a captivating dance drama depicting the life, victories, and cultural ethos of Shivaji Maharaj. The performance highlighted Jijabai's pivotal role in shaping the Maratha Empire, emphasizing women’s empowering legacy in Indian history

The esteemed guests applauded the school for imparting such an enriching experience to the students, urging them to carry forward these timeless values in their own lives.

The Managing Director of MPS Group, Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Shastri, expressed his deep appreciation for the students’ performances and the rich cultural heritage that was brought to life.
