Active Learning Workshop

An In-House Active Learning Workshop was conducted on 7 February 2026 at MPS Ved Vyas Puri, by Mr. Ankur Farzwal (TGT Mathematics). The workshop aimed to enhance teaching practices by making classroom sessions more engaging, interactive, and student-centred.

The session highlighted the importance of interactive learning strategies and the play-way method to foster active student participation. Various brainstorming tasks were demonstrated as effective ice-breakers before introducing new topics, encouraging curiosity, prior knowledge activation, and critical thinki

Special emphasis was laid on peer collaboration and cooperative learning, ensuring that classrooms remain dynamic and inclusive—particularly for new learners. The workshop reaffirmed the school's commitment to progressive pedagogy, experiential learning, and continuous teacher development.

Capacity Building Workshop

A 7-day Capacity Building Workshop was conducted for all the teachers by Agragati Education Foundation, focusing on enhancing teaching practices through a range of essential topics. The session covered learning standards, linkage of competencies with curricular goals, the art of questioning, multiple intelligences, the backward design model and the ERAC approach.
The workshop also delved into the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), emphasizing the need to align classroom instruction with national educational goals. Facilitators were encouraged to adopt reflective and student-centered methodologies to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
The session was insightful and enriched the facilitators with practical strategies to elevate classroom learning.

CBP Training Workshop

Reimagining Mathematics: From Rote to Rooted Learning through Experiential Approaches

A CBP Workshop on Experiential Learning in Mathematics was organized
In MPS-SPII on 28th April with the vision of making education holistic, integrated, and learner-centered.
The session was led by Mr. Ankur Farswal, an esteemed resource person, who provided deep insights into the world of mathematics. The workshop emphasized the importance of shifting from traditional rote learning to conceptual understanding through activity-based methods, in alignment with the NCFSE’s emphasis on foundational numeracy and higher-order thinking.
Mr. Farswal highlighted the effective use of Bloom’s Taxonomy Levels (BTL) in designing engaging math activities and demonstrated how mathematics can be made joyful, relatable, and meaningful for children. Teachers from various branches of Meerut Public School actively participated in this enriching session, fostering collaboration and shared learning across the school community.

Workshop on Strategies of a Happy Classroom

' Happiness is seeing the smile on a child's face as they learn '

A happy classroom is every teacher’s dream. This can be achieved without compromising academic results and the personal growth of our students.
So to establish a balance between happiness and learning and to make classroom learning more effective, MPSTFS organized a workshop for teaching staff on 'Strategies of a Happy Classroom' on 24.05.22. The workshop was conducted by the resource person Ms. Vinita Sareen, Senior Product Manager, training facilitator and teacher at Oxford accompanied by Mr. Nassef-ul-Haq, Manager at Oxford.
In her session, madam threw light on the core points which are useful in creating a happy environment in our classrooms by organizing various activities for the teachers. Madam appreciated the teachers' participation.
It was indeed an interactive and knowledgeable session.
The Principal, Ms. Sonu Sahni thanked the guests for their auspicious presence and appreciated the whole hearted participation of the teaching staff.

Workshop on'Commit to Self' for Teaching and Maintenance Staff

To establish deeper connection with each other and to strengthen individual's support system, Meerut Public School, The First Step organised a session on 'Commit to Self' on 25th May, 2022 for Teaching and Maintenance Staff. The session was conducted by our Respected MPS Group Counsellor, Mrs. Divya Goel .
The Session proceeded with different strategies related to strengthening of individual's support system followed by a Drama Therapy. Madam helped the teachers to get detached from their emotional distress with the help of an activity 'My Observing Head'. Dance & Movement Therapy was taken in a very different way which encouraged everyone to move their body and promote physical and mental well-being.
Participants learnt to manage their uncomfortable emotion, stress and thoughts.
The Principal, Ms. Sonu Sahni appreciated teaching and maintenance staff for their unflinching support and coordination and also expressed gratitude towards Divya ma'am for the interesting and refreshing session.

Workshop on Self Defense for the Teachers

"There’s Only One Basic Principle Of Self-Defense. You Must Apply The Most Effective Weapon, As Soon As Possible, To The Most Vulnerable Target.” - Bruce Lee

Self-defense training is a life skill that helps women to be more aware of their surroundings and be prepared for the unexpected situations at any time.
Keeping this in view, MPSTFS organised Self Defense Workshop for the Teachers under the guidance of Mr.Siraj Ahmed, the Karate Coach.
Through the self defense training, teachers were taught to become psychologically, intellectually and physically strong enough to protect themselves in times of distress.
Apprising the teachers about the importance of Self Defence, Mr. Siraj said that one needs to tap one’s hidden physical strength and learn to RESPOND, not REACT.

The Principal, Ms. Sonu Sahni motivated the teachers to learn this skill of Martial Arts as a part of self defense.

The Wellness Retreat

During these unprecedented times, our emotional, mental and physical being is at stake. Keeping this in mind, MPSTFS organized a Wellness Program on 6th May, 2021 for the Parents and students of Classes I-VI to develop a holistic approach towards their wellbeing.
The key note speaker of the session Ms. Divya Goel, Counsellor MPS Group enlightened all with her expert views on the topic. Participants enjoyed the activities during the informative session. Ms. Richa Sharma, MPS Group Advisor encouraged everyone to follow the instructions given by the speaker. Ms. Sonu Sahni, Principal thanked everybody and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for giving their precious time.

Virtual Good Parenting Workshop 2020

"Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about, but the hardest thing in the world to do” ~ Matt Walsh Parents serve as a major influence in their children's career development and career decision making. Keeping this in mind, MPSTFS organised a Virtual Workshop on ‘Good Parenting’ on 19th December, 2020 wherein Mrs. Ritu Kaushik, a renowned career counsellor helped the parents in identifying their children’s hidden talents and introspect themselves as per their children’s interests. She also gave suggestions on how to deal with early years of parenting problems.

GLOBAL CLASSROOM

WORKSHOP IN DOMINOS

The students of classes IV- VIII attended the workshop held by DOMINOS in City Square Mall on 28th April 2014. The students were taken to the kitchen area by their faculty and they learned how to prepare delicious and mouth watering pizzas. A special combo( pizza\garlic bread\coke) was offered to them. Junior Pizza Maker certificates were also given to every student .
