MPS Shradhapuri Phase II celebrated Janmashtami with a special assembly featuring music, storytelling, dance and hands-on experiences for the young learners.
Balvatika 1 presented a Krishna song, Balvatika 2 enacted the story of Krishna Janm, while Balvatika 3 presented a dance performance based on the festival.
Adding an experiential element, the Balvatika section recreated Yashoda's Kitchen, where children explored stories and traditions associated with Bal Krishna through hands-on activities. They also experienced the traditional process of churning butter, helping them connect familiar Janmashtami stories with an everyday cultural practice.
Through performance, storytelling and exploration, the celebration gave children an age-appropriate introduction to the stories, traditions and cultural significance of Janmashtami.
