An engaging experiential learning activity was conducted for Class 6 students in the Social Science Lab to strengthen their understanding of fundamental geographical concepts.

Students explored the difference between maps and globes, types of maps, and key concepts such as latitude and longitude, including important lines like the Equator and Prime Meridian.

Through interactive tasks, students were able to:

• Locate major lines such as the Equator and Prime Meridian on the globe

• Identify continents and oceans with confidence

• Use cardinal directions (North, South, East, West) to locate places

• Understand how latitude and longitude help in determining exact locations

The hands-on approach made learning meaningful and engaging, fostering curiosity and critical thinking while transforming theoretical knowledge into practical understanding.
