Students of Classes 5 to 8 of MPS, Shradhapuri II, participated in the “From Classroom to Crop Field” initiative at ICAR–Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research (IIFSR), Modipuram. The experiential learning programme included a guided visit to the Technology Park, where students explored sustainable agricultural practices and the principles of natural and organic farming.
The interactive sessions were led by eminent experts, Dr. Chandra Bhanu, Dr. T. P. Swarnam, and Dr. Sunil Kumar, who enlightened students on soil health, food safety, sustainable farming, biomagnification, and the future of Indian agriculture. Through demonstrations and discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of environmentally responsible farming practices and the importance of sustainable food systems.
The visit reinforced the importance of experiential learning by helping students connect classroom concepts with real-world practices while developing a deeper understanding of sustainable agriculture and environmental responsibility.
