Grandparents' Day Celebrated with Great Fervor at MPGS, Shastri Nagar

Meerut Public Girls’ School, Shastri Nagar celebrated Grandparents’ Day by welcoming grandparents to the campus and recognizing how their guidance and affection lay a strong foundation for children's bright futures.

The celebration began with students greeting their grandparents through the traditional gesture of touching their feet, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a floral tribute to the school’s founder, Late Shri Tara Chand Shastri Ji.

Students of Balvatika presented shlokas and a welcome song, while role-play performances expressed the special place grandparents hold in a child’s life. A series of games for the grandparents added an interactive element to the programme.

As part of the celebration, saplings were presented to the grandparents, adding an environmental message to the occasion.

Concluding the programme, Principal Mrs. Sapna Ahuja encouraged students to value and respect their elders and thanked the grandparents for their presence and participation.

The celebration gave children an opportunity to express affection and gratitude while spending meaningful time with their grandparents at school.
