Dussehra Celebration at MPGS, Shastri Nagar

The spirit of Dussehra came alive at Meerut Public Girls’ School, Shastri Nagar through a series of activities centred on the festival’s message of the victory of good over evil.

The celebration began with a Bal Ramayana presentation during the morning assembly, where students enacted episodes from the life of Lord Rama and reflected on the values of truth, courage and righteousness. The assembly concluded with bhajans and devotional songs presented by the school choir.

The Foundation Stage students participated in a classroom activity titled “Bursting the Balloons of Negativity.”Through the activity, children symbolically identified and let go of negative emotions and behaviours, while being encouraged to adopt kindness and positive habits in everyday life.

The celebration helped students connect with India’s cultural traditions while understanding the broader message of Dussehra, overcoming negativity and choosing what is right in their thoughts and actions.
