Welcome to Meerut Public School

Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti Celebration at MPGS, Shastri Nagar

Meerut Public Girls’ School, Shastri Nagar observed Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, commemorating the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and reflecting on their contribution to the nation.

The programme began with a speech highlighting the lives, ideals and legacy of both leaders. Students then presented a short act based on the values of truth, non-violence, simplicity and integrity, followed by a patriotic song presented by the school choir.

A special highlight of the celebration was a symbolic Dandi March by the Foundation Stage students through the school corridors. The activity introduced the young learners to an important episode from India’s freedom struggle in an age-appropriate and memorable way.

Principal Mrs. Sapna Ahuja encouraged students to draw inspiration from the lives of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and to practise honesty, self-discipline and a sense of responsibility in their everyday lives.
