Gita Jayanti Celebration

Gita Jayanti is the birthday of Bhagvad Gita, the sacred text of Hindus. It's celebrated on the Shukla Ekadashi, 11th day of waxing moon of Margashirsha month of the Hindu calendar.
This auspicious day was celebrated in MPS, Vedvyaspuri on 9 December, 2019.
A special assembly was conducted celebrated to commemorate the birth of ‘Srimad Bhagwat Gita’, the sacred scripture containing invaluable advice of Lord Krishna that he proffered to Arjuna, the third Pandava in the battlefield of Kurukshetra on the first day of the famous 18-day battle in the Mahabharata.
The students enchanted the shlok "Yada yada hi dharmasya.. " and Riya Yadav of class X-A read out "Geeta ka Saar" in hindi.
The Principal, Ms. Bela Chadha told the importance of this day and encouraged students to read Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta.
