The Investiture Ceremony Session 2019-2020

With the beginning of the new academic session for the year 2019-20, 30th April 2019, MPGS Shastri Nagar, investiture ceremony was organised with a spirit to strive and inculcate a sense of responsibility among the students with their head held high, and to make them ready to shoulder responsibilities as leaders.

The day started with the warm welcome of the prestigious Chief Guest-Aditi Sharma-DFO, Meerut, The Management, Parents and all present to witness the day. A welcome by Tulsi saplings was further extended to the Chief Guest, this was closely followed by the introduction of the chief guest by Madam Principal-Mrs. Sapna Ahuja. The lighting of the lamp ceremony was further initiated by the Chief Guest accorded by the Management and Madam Principal. The event opened with the Welcome Group song spelling away the qualities of Mpgians. The pace was further accelerated by the march past taken on the tracks by the Council members. Being one of the most prominent part of the event, an oath taking ceremony was sworn in by the council members. Taking a leap ahead the Lighting of the Torch was lit by the humble hands of the Chief Guest and actioned by the Sports Captain Avni Tyagi. Next came the Pinning of the Batches, where Vasundhara Srivastava was pinned as a School Captain, Urja as Vice-School Captain, Priya Chauhan as Ahiliya House Captain, Ishita Sharma as Gargi House Captain, Isha Ratnam as Sarojini House Captain, Hadeel as Maitrey House Captain, English Editor- Chestha Singh, Literary Club President-Kritika Mishra, Eco Club President- Divyanshi Singh, Art Club President - Sanskriti Bansal, Rhyme and Rhythm President - Simran Gupta, Creative Club President- Gauri Sharma and Humanities Club president Aastha Kathuria. A group dance reflecting the vibgyor of women empowerment was also staged to win the hearts of the audience.

A Felicitation Ceremony of session toppers took place where Ruhi (Pre-Nursery), Arisha Khan (95.5%, Class III), Zuvairah Khalid (98.7%, class V), Shreya Rastogi (98.4 Class VIII), Muskan Verma (99.4% class IX), Mehak Gupta - Science (93.7%, Class XI), Sejal Goel - Commerce (94% Class XI), Mansi Dublish- Humanities (97.2%, Class XI) and other session toppers were felicitated with cheques and certificates. The Kusum Shastri trophy which is a symbol for excellence in field of academics, attendance and extra curricular activities was also awarded to Mansi Dublish-XII G by the humble hands of the Chief Guest, Management and Madam Principal. The Hindustan Olympiad award was also given away to Mehak Gupta as the district topper. The countdown of the day unfolded with words of wisdom propounded by the eminent chief guest- Ms. Aditi Sharma-DFO Meerut. This was followed by the inspiring words by the Managing Director- Mr. Vikram Jeet Singh Shastri and Madam Principal. The atmosphere was further charged with eloquent speeches from School Captain and the Captains of all four Houses. A heartfelt gratitude was extended as a vote of thanks by Madam Principal Mrs. Sapna Ahuja and the culmination of the day was marked by the National Anthem.
