"Ahilya House"- Excelence with Desipline

Ahilya House since the beginning of session strived hard for excellence and achieved the top position. Be it sports or academics Ahilyans have raced ahead of their opponents and obtained a formidable reputation.

Throughout the session 2013·14 Ahilyans showed unity, sportsman ship, dedication and hard work under the able guidance of Mrs. Richa Mahajan, the House Mistress and Mrs. Meeta Sharma, the Vice House Mistress with its group of hard working teachers.

Ahilyans maintained their to position this year also by winning the House Trophy. The winning spree of Ahiliyans started right ay at the onset when they won the Power Point competition. Then they showed their grit and expertise in competitions like Jam, Speech, Extempore, weave a Yarn, turn the coat etc. Whether it was the field Dance, Singing, Sports, Academics, Drama or Play Athilyans were either at top or were giving a touch competition to their opponents because AHILYANS LIVED to their motto " Excellence with Discipline".

Gargi House - Citius, Altius, Fotius

The session 2013-14 started with a spirit of great enthusiasm and competition for all the four houses. Ms. Manjula as the Houses Mistress and Ms. Yatika as the Vice House Mistress along with their team endeavoured to bring their house on the top. Gargi House worked with a feeling of great dedication and hard work. The students participated in various competitions like P.P.T, dialogue delivery, extempore, quiz, debate, play, patriotic dance and puppet dance as well. We bagged good ranking in most of the competitions.

The Sports Day was organized on the theme of common wealth games. Various games were organized as shot put, discus throw, long jump. javlin throw, relay race, weight lifting, road cycling etc.

With a slight difference our House achieved overall 2nd rank. A sincere vote of thanks to all the House teachers, House Captain (Vrinda Sharma), and Vice House Captain (Kanupriya Sharma) for their support. It is because of the inspiration and motivation of our team that our House excelled in various fields throughout the year and brought laurels to it.

Maitreyi House - Dedication and Determination

Maitreyi House with the belief 'Believe in yourself, give hundred percent and leave the rest to God' started its journey under the able guidance of the House Mistress Ms. Sakshi, Vice House Mistress Ms. Pooja and of course the dedicated and determined brigade of teachers and students, keeping their eyes on the goal the Best House Trophy. The first Inter House activity of the session was PPT competition in which Jaya of IX represented her house and won every body's heart. Whether it was individual participation in activities like Tum the Coat, Weave a yam, Story telling, Book review or team participation in classical play, Hindi, English Debate, Quiz, Drill etc. Maitreyi House students gave tough competition to their opponents. Even in Sports Meet the sports brigade of the house uplifted the house from fourth position to third position as they proved they mettle in different races. They secured the third position but still felt it is a reason to be proud as they always believe-- give hundred percent and leave the rest to God.

Sarojini House - Positivity, Passion, Perservance

The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand and the determination that whether we win or lose. we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. Walking in the foot steps of our national leader Sarojini Naidu, the present and upcoming Saojinis of MPGS blazon forth in the numerous activities directed in the school alley. Kirti Sharma of class Vll-C participated in English Debate and speech competition and grabbed the first position. Medha Agarwal of IX - A and Yashi

Gupta of XI- F revealed their fabulous presence of mind in the Extempore and Turn the Coat Competition and bagged first prize respectively. One more gem was added to the crown of the House when Gaurangi Gupta of IX - A gained first position in the Book

Review Competition. Under the note worthy counseling of the house Mistress Mrs. Sonia Dhawan, the Sarojinis participated in d1stinctive sports on sports day and added numerous feathers to the cap of the House.

"Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked, it is defined by results not attributes. Under the guidance of

House Captain Shreya and Vice House Captain Somya Tyagi, the members of Sarojini House divulged their talent with tremendous ardour and procured second position in patriotic Dance and Drill competition. We won the first prize in the Hindi street play.

The bambinos of Primary Section left no stone unturned and secured second rank in the scrabble time and brought laurds to the House.

The Sarojinis gave their best with great zeal, support, hard work and dedication of their house teachers. The enthusiasm displayed by all the students and house members of Sarojini House was really commendable. May the spirit never die and the Almighty shower His blessings on every member of Sarojini House.
