National Unity Day

Class VI A and VI B jointly presented their Class Assembly on Thursday, 31st October,2019 on the topic ‘NATIONAL UNITY DAY’.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was introduced by the Government of India and inaugurated by the Indian Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi in 2014. Since then, this day is celebrated every year on 31st October to commemorate the birth-anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
The highlights of the assembly were the rendition of a song most suitable to the theme “Hind Des ke Niwaasi, Sab jan ek hai.. ” and a speech on “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel-the iron-man of India”.
The students highlighted that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Statue of Unity – the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, in Gujarat’s Kevadiya on Wednesday, 31st October, 2018, on the 143rd birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
The students gave a message to the students that we should all walk on the footsteps of the Iron-man of India because National Unity is of prime importance for the progress, security and development of a nation.
Principal Ma’am applauded the efforts of the students and expressed her heartfelt desire to see our countrymen united and not differentiate each other on the basis of caste or religion as National Unity is our most priceless asset.
