Savan Shivratri Celebration

Savan Shivratri was celebrated in reverence of Lord Shiva in Meerut Public School, Vedvyaspuri. A day prior to the celebration day, a Damaru Making Activity was conducted for the students of Classes 1-5. The students came out with colourful and artistic damarus which were utilised for adding more colours to the celebration day. On 22nd July, 2019, a special programme was organised in the school premises. The sacred mantra of Shiva ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ was chanted to begin the celebration.

The students of Classes IV and V dressed up in the  beautiful attires of Kanwar danced to the tune Of Namo-Namo Shankara. The MPS VVP's choir group sang "Mera Bhola hai Bhandari" melodiously. The powers and the role of Lord Shiva in the natural cycle were highlighted in the assembly. The programme concluded with the address by the Principal. She applauded the staff and the students for their efforts to make everyone spiritually energised and enlightened.
