Inter-House Chess Competition (Middle Wing)

An Inter-House Chess Competition was organised through a series of matches from 15th July to 21st July,2019 for the students of middle wing. The students of Aryabhata, Kalam, Tagore and Vivekananda Houses showed their focus, ability to strategize and think ahead through their moves in outstanding ways. Students were divided into two categories- VISHWANATH ANAND 
 and SUBBARAMAN VIJAYALAKSHMI. 
 The huge turnout of participants ensured that the competition was a week-long one with a nail-biting finish on the last day. 

Yash Yadav (VIII-A) of Vivekananda House and Akshita Yadav (VIII-B) of Kalam House bagged the first position in VISHWANATH and VIJAYALAKSHMI Category respectively.
Akshat Singh (VI-B) and Muskan (VIII-B) of Aryabhata House won the second position.
Following the trail, Manvi Dhaka(VII-A) and Dipanshu Tomar (VIII-B) of Vivekananda House and Kalam House managed to secure Third Position.

The students’ ability to calculate, choose appropriate tactics, and making strategic openings and visualize endgames was highly impressive.
