Career decisions play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and development of students. In today’s age with so many career options, young students find it very difficult to choose the right career option. Career Counseling acts as a torchbearer for the whole workforce that can be made aware of the industrial changes in advance so as to hone their skills accordingly and be prepared for the upcoming changes, helping children in their decision-making process. Virtual Career Counseling sessions were organised by Meerut Public School, Main Wing for the students of Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams of the outgoing batch of 2020-2021.
Ms Ritu Kaushik, an eminent career counselor with NCERT, possessing a rich and varied experience of 22 years of counselling, mentored the students and made them aware of the multiple career options available. She also shared information regarding leading universities and various courses available and guided them regarding their preparation for boards and selecting the career best suited as per the strengths and interests.
The seminar concluded with an interactive session of the students with the resource person. Students found the session quite informative and enriching. They were extremely grateful to the Honourable Management for providing this opportunity of enhancing their awareness at this crucial juncture.
