Fit India Movement

On the occasion of National Sports Day a ‘Fit India Movement’ was launched by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 29 Aug’19. This is a nation-wide campaign that aims at encouraging people to include physical activity and sports in their everyday lives. A live-telecast of Prime Minister’s speech was shown to the young Mpites. Stressing on the need to be fit, PM Modi said that a healthy India is his goal and called for a strict control on people's lifestyles. He also emphasized on the importance of fitness and called for a change in mindsets when it comes to physical fitness. He even urged people to visit iconic places and travel places related to nature and wildlife.

To commemorate the importance of this day, a friendly Basketball match was organized in Meerut Public School between students and teachers where our young and dynamic students vanquished their opponents with a score of 8-12 in their favour. Kudos to our Champs!!
