Investiture Ceremony at MPS

To instill the values of democracy, to groom the generation next into responsible, upright citizens of the society, each year Investiture ceremony is organized where the selected student council takes the oath of working with full dedication keeping the honour of MPS intact and flag fluttering high.

For the session 2019-20 the Investiture Ceremony of MPS was organized on 29^thof April. The Chief Guest for the same was Col. Pranav Prasoon, Commander, 18 Garhwal Riffles, who was accompanied by his charming, elegant wife Mrs. Kanak, the Guest of Honour the day. Director Mr. Vikram Jeet Singh Shastri was also present. The proud, elated parents of all the ones to be accorded badges too were invited to witness the special event.

The programme commenced most auspiciously at 9:00 am with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests. Principal, Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal then gave a formal introduction of the guests.

The school choir then presented a welcome song, thereafter was conducted the oath taking ceremony where senior supervisor Mrs. Shikha Koak administered the oath of working with sincerity, honesty and dedication.

The holy torch was then lighted. School Sports Captain boy and girl, Vaibhav and Kashish then to illuminate the surroundings with the light of knowledge took a round of the campus with the ignited holy torch.

Thereafter the badges to the most deserving were conferred. Kartik Mehendiratta was made the Head Boy and Avneet Kaur was made the Head Girl. Aman Agarwal was given the badge of School Captain Boy and Vrinda the School Captain Girl. Junior Head Boy is Abhey Malik and Junior Head Girl is Ariba Rehman. Then the House Captains of Gandhi, Nehru, Shastri, Tagore Boy and Girl Dhruv, Saiba, Nitish, Kanishka, Ahbab, Anshika, Arun, Rishita respectively stepped forward for their badges. The remaining student council then received their badges.

The academic toppers for the session 2018-19 too were felicitated for their brilliant result. Each year to motivate the students, the generous management accords cash prize to all toppers . This year two cheques were given to the beaming class toppers.

The Chief Guest Col. Pranav Prasoon congratulated the badge holders & toppers and gave his blessings for their further endeavors. All posts require deep commitment, meticulous planning and sincere efforts he reminded. He also added that those who didn’t score that well or didn’t get the badges must never lose heart. Giving your 100% is more important to attain heights.

Guest of Honour Mrs. Kanak congratulated all and wished them luck, health and happiness in life. Director Mr. Vikram Jeet Singh Shastri wished success and even more heights to all achievers. He emphasized on a disciplined way of life for all achievements.

Kartik the School Head Boy and Avneet Kaur the School Head Girl then in their speeches thanked the Principal and teachers for grooming, supporting and selecting them. They also expressed their indebtedness to their parents for always standing by them. They promised never to breach the faith reposed and further added they’ll leave no stone unturned to take their school to even greater heights.

The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem after the Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Shikha Koak who not only congratulated all felicitated that also appreciated the efforts of all involved in making the ceremony a great success.
