Books are a uniquely portable magic. Book fairs are an appetizer for further reading and play a positive role in encouraging the development of reading habit among all age groups.
To promote basic academic learning amongst the children of community helpers a USED BOOK FAIR was organised on 21 April '22 on the occasion of World Book Day as a part of community service programme in MPS Pallavpuram. The fair was set up outside the school premises during school hours. Students brought their used books which included a wide range of books like literature, grammar, value education, workbooks and story books etc. The students visited the fair. They exchanged their books and also donated the books to the children of the community helpers. Students from different schools also collected different books for reference.
The fair helped the students to build social relationship, connectedness and exposed them to diversity.
Madam Principal, Mrs Chitra Sharma, appreciated the wholehearted involvement of the students and their parents as they sent the reading material to organise a successful fair.
