To teach the concept of traffic lights in a fun and educational manner a traffic light activity was organized. The Objective was to introduce children to the concept of traffic lights and their significance. To help children understand the meanings of red, yellow, and green lights and to encourage active participation and learning through play. The learning began with a brief introduction about traffic lights. Pictures and videos were used to show real traffic lights and explain why they are important for road safety. Children were made to sing a special poem on traffic light.
Red light, red light, what do you say?
I say stop and stop right away.
Yellow light, yellow light, what do you mean?
I mean wait until the light turns green.
Green light, green light, what do you say?
I say go, but look both ways.
