World Environment Day Celebration

World Environment day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm and fervour in the premises of Meerut Public School For Girls.

The Managing Director of the School Mr.Vikramjeet Singh Shastri ,Principal Mrs. Madhu Sirohi along with the students planted trees of Thymus vulgaris, Cymbopogan schoenanthus, Asparagus racemose, Carissa carandas, Kalanchoe pinnata,Origanum majorana, Casia fistula, Murraya koenigii, Ocimum sanctum, Tinospora cordifolia and Aleo vera in the school premises keeping in theme ‘Connecting people with nature’ in mind.

On this occasion a song “ye dharthi ye nadia “ was sung by school choir to stress on the importance of nature in our life, Mr.Vikramjeet Singh Shastri also addressed the gathering and urged them to conserve the environment & emphasised on the clean & green environment with proper disposal of dry & wet waste in dustbins. He also motivated the students to plant trees for sustaining life on earth and also made them aware about the increasing pollution and advised them to take positive steps to reduce pollution to save the environment.
