Fit India School Week 2020


'Fit India' Movement - Physical Fitness

physical Fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body it is a basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. To second the same thought of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi 'Fit India' Movement was launched at MPSFG wherein the students of class 1 to 5 enthusiastically participated on 14th December 2020 in an online session on free hand exercises like jumping jack, chair pose, leg swing, flutter kick mountain climbing etc. The entire week from 14 December to 19 December 2020 will be filled with plethora of activities to promote holistic development of students in these times of pandemic.

 


MPSFG Organises A Virtual Debate

A virtual debate was organised by Meerut Public School for Girls' on 15 December 2020 on the topic 'Need to re-strengthen our minds post pandemic- A must' under the programme of Fit India Week. Students from Classes 6 to 8 participated in this debate and expressed their views in favour or against the topic. The first position was backed by Saumya Chauhan of 8-G followed by Aliza Khan of 6-A and Shivanshi Sharma of 8-D respectively. The officiating Principal and H.O.D.(English) Ms. Vibha Bhagat appreciated the efforts of the debaters and also the teachers involved. The judges also praised the participants and wished them well for their future.

 

Fit India Week Day - 3

“Fitness is zero investment with infinite returns.” The ‘Fit India Movement’, launched by honourable Prime Minister, Shree Narendra Modi, aims to encourage Indians to include fitness and sports in their daily lives to design a healthy India. The mindful and passionate students of Meerut Public School For Girls’ have prepared avnat grade advertisements on the theme of “Hum Fit Toh India Fit.” Hope they convince you to make effective changes in your lifestyle. Fit India Week Day - 4

To enhance the oratory skills and to bring awareness about healthy diet and nutrition during pandemic. A lecture activity was organised on the day 4 of Fit India School week 2020. To lower the risk of infection proper nutrition and hydration are vital. People who eat a well-balanced diet tend to be healthier with strong immune system. All the students participated enthusiastically in this activity. Students prepared Power Point presentation to make their lectures interesting and interactive. It was a very informative session which captivated everybody's attention .

 


Fit India Week Day - 5

Physical health is supreme achievement and when you are aware and active it's just cherry on the cake. Creating awareness and motivation about fitness can be so much fun that the children realised when they participated in great number for Google Form Quiz on 18 December 2020, where colourful pictorial presentation attracted their attention. Throughout the week the activities for Fit India Movement engaged the students in fun and frolic exhibiting their positive vibes and energy.

 


Fit India Week Day - 6

"He who has health has hope and he who has hope has everything." The precious health can be preserved only when you continuously take care of it. Nothing better can give you pleasure than Yoga. To live up the art of healthy living Yoga asanas were introduced to the students at the culmination of Fit India Week as a take away session on 19 December 2020. Perfect postures, stress relieving exercises grabbed the attention of the students wherein cheerful disposition was observed. It was a humble gesture to wash away the pandemic blues. Under the aegis of Government of India Fit India Movement Week was successfully observed by the students of MPSFG under the able guidance of the faculty and became the proud owner of Digital Certificate by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Let's pledge to stay fit and healthy .

 


 

Culmination of Fit India week 2020

Meerut Public School Group celebrated the culmination of Fit India week 2020 on 21st December 2020 through a virtual platform. The event was attended by Ms. Richa Sharma, Advisor MPS Group, Revered Principals of all the MPS branches, Senior Co-ordinators, Activity Co-ordinators, PE teachers and students of classes 11 and 12 respectively. To grace the occasion we had Squadron Leader Ms. Toolika Rani(retd) as the esteemed Chief Guest of the event– a Mountaineer/Writer/Research Scholar/Motivational Speaker. Toolika Ma'am interacted with students and shared her words of wisdom. Ma'am very well elaborated that doing anything unconventional requires enormous courage, persistence, determination and hard work, in addition to the ability of taking criticism.
