Book Mark Making Activity

A Bookmark is a thin marker, commonly made of card, leather,
or fabric, used to keep the reader's place in a book and to enable
the reader to return to it with ease. The history of bookmarks is
intimately connected with the development of the book itself.
Indications are there that bookmarks have accompanied books for
about 2000 years already and are still relevant and prevalent in
the world of book reading, such is the integral role of a bookmark.
To encourage the good habit of reading in the children of the
Primary Section of MPSFG, a Bookmark Making Activity was
held on 15/4/2017.

The children recycled old ice-cream sticks, used ribbon, painted
and pasted their favourite cartoon characters, smileys, flowers
onto them. Classes I-V participated and had a enjoyable time
while learning about bookmarks.
